The mouse kind of rattles when it’s dropped on the mousepad, which is just about what you’d expect from a mouse that at one point went on sale for $20 (plus a mousepad) at my local Walmart. The Build: I’d love to say that this mouse is built like a tank, and while there’s some truth to that, overall this mouse is just good, not great. This mouse was too small for me to palm, and the overall shape is not comfortable even if it was. Palm grip users (if there are any out there) should definitely stay away though. I’ve never been a fingertip user, but I’ve heard it’s great for that too. For my medium-sized hands, it feels natural to claw-grip the mouse. It’s praised by claw-grip enthusiasts, myself included, as one of the best shapes for claw. This mouse’s shape is similar to the G203 and GPro (wired) if you’re ever owned one of those. The Shape: Ah yes, the glorious egg shape. If you’re a fan of wireless and are on a tight budget to where a Model-O Wireless is too expensive (or you just have great taste) then the G305 may be the right mouse for you. ![]() I’ve had no serious problems, aside from a few quirks (light clicks and weird weight balance) that I didn’t mind too much, but certainly noticed. I’m no mouse snob, and this is only the 4th or so mouse I’ve ever owned, but this one has left me satisfied. General Thoughts/TLDR: I really have enjoyed my time with this mouse. The number is kind of arbitrary, I just decided to make this now. Hey All! I know this mouse is many years old at this point, but since sales have been crazy on this mouse recently, I decided I would review my experience 9 months into purchasing it. The manufacturer promises that the G305 mouse can last for 250 hours on one AA battery and up to nine months when its polling rate is reduced to 8 ms. ![]() One of the advantages of Logitech’s HERO sensor (and to a degree Lightspeed technology) is a very long battery life. In addition, the mouse uses the proprietary Lightspeed wireless interconnection technology that allegedly cuts the input lag by improving the internal architecture, reducing the polling rate of wireless receivers to 1 ms, rising signal strength, applying a proprietary frequency hopping mechanism that uses the strongest interference-free channel, and optimizing software. The G305 is Logitech’s second mouse to feature the company’s latest HERO (high efficiency rated optical) sensor with 12,000 DPI sensitivity, up to 400 inches per second detection speed, and up to 40G acceleration. The Logitech G305 mouse uses a proven ambidextrous form-factor but does not offer features like adjustable weight or RGB lighting. Logitech this week introduced its new entry-level gaming mouse that uses its proprietary Lightspeed wireless interconnection technology as well as its latest HERO sensor.
